And for the first time in 14 years, there is a grocery store in Downtown Pittsburgh. Opened in March 2008 the Rosebud Fine Food Market and Deli, located in the Encore on Seventh Building at the intersection of 7th and Ft. Duquesne Blvd. While not a full-service store, it offers good selection of organic fruits and vegetables, meats, prepared foods, and a variety of staple items.
Perhaps you prefer the convenience of shopping online. Register with Good Apples and purchase top-quality produce, meats, seafood, specialty breads, organic food products, and more for delivery to Gateway Towers on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Headed for the airport? Take the 28X bus. Pickup is at the Liberty Avenue stop between the Hilton Hotel and Gateway Center 3, and with minimal stops you'll be taken to the terminal door. The return trip will let you off at the stop by Gateway Center 4. Cost is $2.60 each way.
And speaking of public transportation, with a PortAuthority pass seniors ride the bus, light-rail ("T"), and inclines free of charge.
