Constructed by the world-renowned American Bridge Division of United States Steel and opened in 1964, the 27-floor building was built with quality. It’s quiet, too, with concrete floors and solid walls. Four floors are dedicated to commercial offices, including those of physicians, dentists, realty firms, a dry cleaner, and a day spa. The remaining floors are currently home to 261 condominiums. The number changes as buyers combine adjoining units into a single residence.
The canopied driveway entrance opens into a large lobby, where a reception desk and switchboard is staffed 24 hours a day. A doorman is available to assist with loading and deliveries throughout the day and evening. Our professional staff prides itself on providing attentive and courteous care.
The quiet corridors of the building are carpeted, and the four elevators (one a freight elevator) have recently been extensively modernized. A long-term maintenance plan ensures that potential repair and improvement issues are addressed and corrected.
Safety
Staff at the 24-hour reception desk monitor a newly installed state-of-the-art fire alarm system, fully addressable in all common areas and residential units. Each floor features extinguishers, fire hoses, and wardens. There is an emergency telephone network, a fire pump, and an emergency generator that operates stairwell lighting and the elevators. Two Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs) are located on site.
Building Access
Each entrance to the building features keyless electronic entry, cameras, or reception personnel at all times. Access to and from the garage is through an interior passageway constantly monitored by cameras.
Maintenance and Fees
The condominium association, which is actively involved in the management of Gateway Towers, employs a professional building services company. The building’s manager is stationed onsite, and the maintenance team provides quick service – with no charge for minor repairs.
The monthly maintenance fee covers all of a resident’s expenses except for electricity and any optional services (cable or dish television, online service, telephone, parking). There are no additional costs for heating, air conditioning, water, septic, trash disposal, security, landscaping, window cleaning, health club, or other amenities.
Pets are welcome at Gateway Towers. It is home to numerous small dogs and cats.
Residents take full advantage of the grassy, tree-shaded Pet Park with its lighted walkway, waste-disposal receptacle, and water station.
